Logo of Touring ExhibitionFrom October 17th, 2008 till December 24, 2008 the touring exhibition „Johann Valentin Rathgeber (1682-1750). Life – Work – Importance“ is displayed in the Burkardus-Haus Wuerzburg.

The exhibition presents different topics about Rathgeber on 25 exhibition walls and in two showcases. Thus, it gives a perfect insight in the living conditions of the composer. Further exhibits are amongst other things a detailed replica of the place of birth of Rathgeber, a life-size statue of Rathgeber and a multimedia-terminal with a contemporary map and many digital presentations. By a multimedia-PC further information could be obtained on Rathgeber's life and oeuvre as well as on the activities of the Valentin-Rathgeber-Society.

Furthermore, a partly coloured exhibition catalogue with about 250 pages (paperback or hardcover) provides much information on the particular topics. By audioguides one could listen to texts on the exhibition and music of Rathgeber.

Monday till Thursday: 8 – 12 am and 1 – 4 pm 
Friday: 8 – 12 am
